Katelan V. Foisy is a visual artist, and writer who specializes in vintage style mixed media art and photography. Her art is featured on the stage and merchandise for The Smashing Pumpkins tours such as Shiny & Oh So Bright, Spirits on Fire, and The World is a Vampire along with William Patrick Corgan's solo Ogilala tour. Her interior design includes designing and painting the the starburst and stage as well as consulting for Madame Zuzus Teahouse. Her other design work includes William Patrick Corgan’s Thirty-Three podcast, merchandise for Madame Zuzus, interior art for ATUM (Indie Special) and recently the Inaugural Women's Television Belt for the National Wrestling Alliance. Her illustrations are featured in the Sibyls Oraculum and Hoodoo Tarot with Tayannah McQuillar, Inner Traditions/Simon & Schuster 2018 and 2020. Chaos of the Third Mind with Dr. Vanessa Sinclair will be published by Trapart Books 2024.
She has displayed at The Worcester Art Museum, Ohio History Museum, Mae West Fest, Last Rites, MODA, Museum of Contemporary Art DC, as well as the A&D gallery in London. Katelan's illustration clients have included, The Grammy Awards, Howling Wolves Wine, Saturn Sisters, Max Fractal, O'death, Gabby Young & Other Animals, Maison Atia, Out Magazine, The Progressive, Scholastic, Focus on Family, and many others. Her paintings have graced the walls of Young & Rubicam, Que4 Radio, and the stage of Ensemble Studio Theater. Her short films were shown at the Avant-garde Film sessions at the Cinémathèque Française on "Romani Cinema". A program curated by Nicole Brenez and Jonathan Larcher. She has also created video vignettes for Carbonbloc, Vondré, and The Cold & Lovely.
Katelan has been featured in NY Times, Elle Magazine, GQ Italy, Paper Magazine, VICE, Cosmopolitan, Buzzfeed, High Fructose, Time Out NY and on WGN for her work as an artist, spiritualist, and gallery curation.
She has spoken at the London National Poetry Society, and presented with Atlas Obscura, hosted salons at NYC's Science House, flash gigs with OVADA in Oxford, and speaks at Pratt Institute regularly on illustration and promotion. Katelan has written for Motherboard/VICE, Electric Literature, Luna Luna, ERIS Magazine, Fenris Wolf, and COILHOUSE.
Katelan is often called on by companies such as BBC America, Swarovski and the CFDA to participate as a trusted performer and reader for large events. She resides in Chicago and travels regularly.
